June Boot Camp Shaping Up Nicely

For those of you thinking about attending Jim Garner's boot camp June 8th-June 11th, here's more of the story.

An industry leader, Jim has been named "one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world" by American Photo Magazine. His unique shooting style, combined with an uncanny ability to focus on the right moments and convey the stories of his couples, has resulted in contemporary wedding photos that delight clients and win awards.

He's also one of the hottest educators in the industry with knowledge to spare, and the good news is that Jim Garner is on a mission to pass it on. Come to Jim's boot camp and get focused, relevant information on how to create contemporary wedding imagery in a hands-on workshop environment. In case you need some extra encouragement, here's what other photographers had to say about their educational experience with Jim:

"Jim Garner is one of the most influential photographic educators of our time.  His cutting edge imagery keeps inspiring me!   Here is a guy that understands the art of communication, and knows how to push one to new levels."

BODA-bang!

The people have spoken: During the first day at WPPI, we sold out of the BODA bags we brought with us. The conference marked the official launch of GO BODA: Tools for Photographers. Judging by the response, photographers are hungry for the chance to put down their cameras for awhile and trade tips, tricks, and talk.

We look forward to offering you more opportunities for professional development through GO BODA.

WPPI shout-outs

We want to thank our fantastic sponsors, who made it all work:

GraphiStudio
Buckeye Color Lab
Page Gallery
Big Folio

We're also thrilled about our partnership with Triple Scoop Music, the first and only music licensing service built specifically for professional photographers. Triple Scoop featured Jim at WPPI, including a Jim Garner Collection.

Revolutionize! Energize!

Jim's WPPI presentation was standing-room only, with all 1,800 seats filled. He presented on the topic "Revolutionize & Energize Your Studio - The Art of Story Shooting." Jim shared his method for capturing a wedding couple's story, including motion-posing techniques and award-winning album design. "This approach is a win-win for the client, as well as your own artistic growth," he says.

It's very exciting to note that Jim's fresh style and techniques are attainable by all who agree to make a subtle shift in their thinking.  It doesn't matter how much experience a photographer has behind the camera, "If you put the experience of your clients first, even before the task of taking pictures,... you will see a tremendous shift in your work!"

Quality is always important, but profitability is an even bigger concern during down times. "Shooting for the story allows you to deliver the finest quality work and maximize profitability," says Jim.

If attendance was any indication, Jim's fellow photogs couldn't agree more.
